PERSISTENCE OF ABAMECTIN RESIDUES IN/ON BRINJAL (Solanum melongena)
نویسندگان
چکیده
Spray application of abamectin (CHA 2062) was given twice to brinjal crop at 15 days interval at the recommended dose and double the recommended dose of 14.4 and 28.8 g a.i./ha during December, 2007March, 2008 to study its residue persistence. Initial residues of abamectin on brinjal from the two treatments were 0.202 and 0.815 mg/ kg, respectively. The residues persisted for 3 days from both the treatments and reached below the quantifiable limit of 0.01 mg/kg on the 5 day. Residues of abamectin on brinjal dissipated with the half-life of less than 1 day and the pre-harvest interval (PHI) or the time taken for the residues on brinjal to reach the permissible level of 0.02 mg/kg was 3 days. Field soil analyzed 10 days after the last treatment was free from abamectin residues.

An Assessment of Carbaryl Residues on Brinjal Crop in an Agricultural Field in Bikaner, Rajasthan (India)
Solanum melongena Linn. (brinjal) is the most common, popular and principal vegetable crop grown in many geographical parts in India. This staple vegetable crop is extensively damaged by the insects and farmers use large quantities of chemical insecticides, Carbaryl being one of them. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the persistence of Carbaryl on brinjal (fruit) and soil in an agri...

Population abundance of red spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch., was studied in cucmber, ribbed gourd, bitter gourd, snake gourd, aroids and teasle gourd and efficacy of four new acaricides were tested against this pest in brinjal at the farmer’s field of Norsingdi during 2009-2010. At the same time, the spatial distribution of this pest in brinjal crop was also studied. Results indicated th...

The fate of benfuracarb was studied under field conditions in brinjal fruits and soil following foliar spray application at 0.25 and 0.50 microg g(-1) by HPLC. At 0.25 microg g(-1), benfuracarb persisted up to 7 days both in soil and brinjal but at 0.50 microg g(-1), benfuracarb residues persisted up to 10 and 12 days in soil and brinjal fruits, respectively. The persistence of benfuracarb resi...
